Funding
How is Cheshire Young Carers funded?
Cheshire Young Carers receives small amounts of money from statutory agencies but the largest part of our funding to support young people who are caring for somebody comes from donations made by companies, organisations and private donors.
Without this support Cheshire Young Carers simply would not be able to provides the critical respite support currently being offered – to work with schools to provide support in identifying, assessing and supporting young carers in Cheshire.
We would not be able to provide our “in to work” programme in collaboration with companies that offers an insight into job opportunities for young carers and we would not be able to provide the critical one to one support for children in a caring role when they are most vulnerable.
This is all in addition to our school respite programme, which supports hundreds of vulnerable children at often their most isolated times, to help them have opportunities that most children take for granted.
