Qualified as an MBA (with Distinction) from Manchester Business School, worked with Shell International and Shell UK, ran the Sandbach based Flowcrete flooring business globally until 2008, then with the management team of RPM inc, a NYSE listed coatings business based in Cleveland Ohio, running their Global Construction Chemicals business from 2015, responsible for 2,300 staff, 32 production units worldwide until retiring in 2019.
Now a partner and non exec Chair of Vebro Polymers Group based in Wilmslow Cheshire, a Director and investor in the Beartown Brewery in Congleton, a founding Partner of the Cheshire Community Foundation, an Ambassador for East Cheshire Hospice, Vice Chair of the Foden’s Band Board of Trustees and a former Chair of Active Cheshire. One of His Majesty’s Deputy Lieutenants for Cheshire.
2 Daughters, 5 Grandkids and a wonderful wife, Esther. Strong interests in rugby (having played for 30 Years), Judo (fought for Lancashire), History and Historical Literature (first degree was in Medieval English Literature). 2 dogs (standard poodles).
