A Message About Our CEO’s Retirement

A Message About Our CEO’s Retirement

9th Oct 2026

After 12 years of dedicated leadership, our CEO, Graham Phillips, will be retiring from Cheshire Young Carers at the end of 2026.

Throughout his time with the charity, Graham has played a pivotal role in shaping and developing our services, helping to transform how young carers are identified, supported and empowered. His passion, vision and commitment have helped ensure that thousands of children and young people across Cheshire have been able to access the support they need to thrive.

As we begin planning for this next chapter, we are pleased to share that Claire Worth will become CEO from 1 January 2027. Claire has been a valued member of the Cheshire Young Carers team for many years and will work closely with Graham over the coming months to ensure a smooth transition.

While Graham will be stepping down as CEO, we are delighted that he will remain part of the Cheshire Young Carers family as a Trustee.

As an organisation, we would like to express our heartfelt thanks to Graham for his outstanding leadership, dedication and unwavering commitment over the past 12 years. His impact on the charity, our staff team, our partners, and most importantly the young carers and families we support, has been immeasurable. The legacy he leaves behind will continue to make a difference for many years to come.
