Cheshire Young Carers School Awards

What an incredible evening celebrating schools across Cheshire!
On Tuesday, 18 November 2025, we proudly hosted the Cheshire Young Carers School Awards at the beautiful Courtyard Complex in Eaton Park. The awards were presented by the Vice Lord-Lieutenant, Mrs. Susan Sellars, and we were honored to welcome our guest speaker, Professor Saul Becker.
Cheshire Young Carers has been running its Education Programme for over 8 years, and we launched these awards to recognise the incredible support schools are giving to young carers. Since launching the award scheme in May, an amazing 69 schools have achieved recognition for their commitment to supporting young carers:
🥉 43 Bronze
🥈 15 Silver
🥇 11 Gold
This is a fantastic achievement in such a short time and shows the dedication of schools to ensuring young carers feel seen, supported, and empowered every day. A huge thank you to all the schools, staff, and students who have embraced this initiative.
