Alan Jones

Alan is the longest serving member of the Cheshire Young Carers’ team and supports the Managing Director, alongside more day to day delivery operations generally within the organisation.

Alan is a registered social worker who has worked across various settings – child protection, children and families, drugs and alcohol, offenders of various ages and keen to volunteer his time where possible. Previously a member of LSCB training pools, community groups and using experiences to support others or enhance his own learning, Alan maintains a sense of humour and helps to provide additional safeguarding knowledge and support across the team and to service users.

A keen advocate of person centred working and hearing and using a child’s voice to help drive and deliver quality within the organisation, Alan aims to help the ‘hidden army’ of young carers across Cheshire and beyond.
